\n  \n \nI look forward to inviting you to a colorful and creative day in a cozy workshop in Kjellerup, just outside Silkeborg. Here we will paint abstract paintings together and feel the joy of creating. I promise presence and creativity. And I know you will leave the course uplifted, perhaps a little tired and maybe even with the desire for even more painting in your life. \n \nEveryone can join - beginner as well as experienced. I will teach you my popular techniques with acrylic paint, where we will create beautiful abstract paintings with acrylic paint using fluid paint, opaque layers and fine details. The course is a mix of guided and instructed exercises from me and "free play". You can confidently follow me step-by-step based on my instructions - or be brave and go your own way with the techniques. \n \nOn the day you will learn, among other things: \n- how to build a painting with beautiful layers from start to finish. \n- how to create beautiful layers and effects in the painting using the many possibilities of acrylic paint. \n- how to create depth and balance in your painting. \n- why it is important to let go of control and not be afraid to make mistakes. \n \nVenue and time: \nWe meet at the workshop "KeramicKjellerup", Søndergade 12, 8620 Kjellerup - ready to start at 9.30 am. We finish no later than 4.00 pm. (the painting itself stops no later than 3.30 pm). \n \nMaterials and practical info: \n- The course includes paint, brushes, etc. You are welcome to bring your own, of course, if you wish. \n- Bring 3-5 white canvases of max 50 cm. E.g. 40 x 40 cm., 50 x 50 cm., 40 x 50 cm., 30 x 40 cm., 30x30 cm. If you have watercolor paper or other thick paper, you are also welcome to bring it. \n \n- We work at tables. Standing or sitting. \n- Remember clothes that can get paint on them. \n- The paintings may not be dry when you go home. You can either pick them up from me later, or make sure you have a blanket/possibly a box in the back of your car where the paintings can lie when you drive home. \n \nCatering: \n- Bring your own lunch (there is a refrigerator) \n- I will provide soft drinks, coffee/tea, snacks and fruit. Please write to me if you have any special requests. \n \nIn case of cancellation and illness: \n- Unfortunately, I do not give refunds, but I will be happy to help you sell your spot. \n- if I get sick myself, you will of course get your money back. \n \nI will send you more info by email closer to the course date. If there are fewer than 6 registrations, the course will not be created and you will get your money back. \n \n \nIf you are a group of friends, a workplace or similar, who wish for a workshop specifically tailored to you, please write to me to hear more. \n \nExtra useful info: \n \n- After a short intro and presentation, we will start with some joint painting exercises so that we can learn the many possibilities of acrylic paint. In addition, I will also guide a single painting, where we will layer together, so you learn the techniques and principles. But there will also be plenty of time for free play with me on the sidelines - and I will both help you, push you and force you to make choices and let go of control. Because that is CLEARLY the most fun. \n \n- I cannot guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied with what you create. But I can comfort you by saying that I never am myself either 😅 Accept that what you create will never be completely perfect - once you can do that, it's actually quite liberating to paint ❤️ And 100% satisfied and perfect is still really boring 🥱 (don't worry, we'll talk more about that on Sunday...). \n \n- NOTE: I know from experience that for some it is nice to have the following information (which is, by the way, written with the best intentions from me): There is absolutely no requirement for you to socialize with the others on the course. We are all different, and you should be allowed to sit deeply concentrated in your immersion without talking to the other students if that is what you want. It is very important for me to emphasize this, because I know that we are all different. For example, there is no expectation that we eat lunch together in a circle ☺️
