Original artwork on paper from my "Ultramarine" series, painted with a beautiful bordeaux acrylic paint on heavy paper (300 gsm) with a lightly ribbed surface texture.
The artwork is mounted on a beautiful and (by me...) hand-painted luminous background in the iconic ultramarine blue color, which provides a fantastic contrast to the dark bordeaux and makes the entire piece glow SO beautifully in any room.
Framed in solid oak and ART glass with minimal reflection - in fact, you might wonder if there's even glass on it.
The brushstrokes are visible in several places in the artwork (see images). The hand-painted look gives the artwork a lively expression that I cherish.
The painting is meticulously crafted, and although it has a more stringent and graphic expression than my abstract works, you will still notice the imperfections and the hand-painted quality when you look closely. For me, it is the unevenness and imperfection that make my works special. That nothing is neat, symmetrical. Or boring. But quirky and full of character.
All in all, a characterful picture that will brighten up and make its own mark in a room.
