An elegant and serene painting from my series of works, which I call "Soft".
The work is painted with acrylic and other mixed media on stretched, primed cotton and polyester canvas. It is then set in a beautiful solid oak floating frame, which beautifully encompasses the simplicity of the work.
The work is dominated by a deep blue color, which, depending on the light in the room, tends towards blue-green. The color itself has an incredible number of nuances, depending on whether it is painted in its purest form or mixed with water or white paint. This simple expression is quite unique, and the many details and layers truly speak beautifully together in all their simplicity.
Both my painting process and the finished expression in this work represent my desire for more calm and softness in my everyday life, in my art, and in my life in general. And I hope you can feel that as you explore the transparent surfaces and layers that give this painting character.
The transparent layers in the painting have given me a calmer painting process compared to what I am used to. Especially because the migration of the painting media on the canvas and the necessary drying breaks to achieve the expression I want require a lot of my patience – and that I remain more calm and passive in the process than I otherwise do in many of my other works.
The work is fixed with an invisible and matte spray, which protects it from sunlight and dust.

If you live outside Denmark, original artworks on canvas are sent rolled in a tube. That means you'll need to take it to your local framer to have it stretched on stretcher bars. Please also note that international purchases are sent without the floating frame.
