Original artwork on paper from my series "Ultramarine", painted with ultramarine blue acrylic paint on handmade Indian cotton paper with texture.
Framed in solid oak and ART glass with minimal reflection - in fact, you might wonder if there's even glass.
The artwork is painted with meticulous care, and although it has a more stringent and graphic expression than my abstract works, you will still notice the imperfections and the handmade quality when you look closely. For me, it is the quirky and the imperfect that make my works special. That nothing is neat, symmetrical. Or boring. But quirky and full of character.
The artwork is professionally framed in a beautiful oak frame, with an oak veneer spacer, and a lovely burgundy background, which makes the artwork truly stand out. The paper almost floats behind the glass because it is lifted from the back paper, and because the inner oak veneer spacer also creates distance between the glass and the artwork.
The artwork itself is A4 size but framed it measures 38.5 x 30 cm.
