In my work with the Soft pieces this time, I have worked hard to accept my impatience in the creative process, which I have otherwise tried to fight against for many years. Because it turns out that once I accept the impatience and the strokes and expressions it helps to create in my works, I can actually ALSO create the calm in my art - and in myself - that I need. A calm that has now settled like a duvet over many of my works.
